Catherine Field is a beautiful historic town locating in the Macarthur Region of New South Wales, Australia. The 16.56 square kilometre state suburb is administrated by the Camden Council, a local government area of Australia. Camden is surrounded by Bringelly, Rossmore, Leppington, Oran Park, Varroville, Harrington Park, Currans Hill and Eschol Park suburbs. The Postcode of Catherine Field is 2557. The land was originally belonging to the Darug people of southern area. John Macarthur, a British army officer and a pioneer of settlement in Australia, established his property in the Catherine Field area in 1805 and started raising Merino sheep. Catherine Field Post Office opened on 1 July 1963 and closed in 1996. It was home to a theme park called El Caballo Blanco in the 1980s.
